Sherry Lansing is a former actress and American film studio executive. She is former CEO of Paramount Pictures who oversaw movies like FORREST GUMP, BRAVEHEART & TITANIC. Plus, when president of production at 20th Century Fox, she became the first woman to head a Hollywood studio. In 1996, she became the first woman named Pioneer of the Year by the Foundation of the Motion Picture Pioneers, and the first woman studio head to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. In 2005, she became the first woman studio head to place hand and foot prints at Grauman's Chinese Theater. In 2001, she was named one of the 30 most powerful women in America by Ladies Home Journal, and The Hollywood Reporter named her fourth on its Power 100 list in 2003.

This prestigious Annual Big Ten Club Award Dinner honors an exceptional alumnus or person who has made a significant impact on the Big Ten. The event is held at the renowned Wrigley Mansion, home of the Tournament of Roses. Attendees receive a private docent tour, a cocktail reception, 3 course meal and a lively short program with the honorees. Former honorees include Mark Spitz, Bob Hope, Jim Delany, John Wooden, Hayden Fry, Keith Jackson, Tex Winter, Bob Chapek, Drew Brees, Archie Griffin, Barry Alvarez, Lloyd Carr, Franco Harris and more.
The Club is also delighted that Len Roth (Michigan State), a former Big Ten Club president and long-time volunteer, will be recognized with our Member of the Year Award. Len has served the club well for many years and this will give us the opportunity to say thanks to him for all that he has done.

Founded in 1933, the Big Ten Club of Southern California was created to celebrate getting out of the cold and enjoying the camaraderie of others at various local events and functions. Plus with our long standing association with the Tournament of Roses, Big Ten Club members enjoy access to Tournament related events.
Major events include the Rose Bowl game, Person of the Year, Queen's Luncheon, and Caucus at Wrigley Mansion.
